Letra y Música: Dora Jordan
Publicada por primera vez en 1801, esta canción folk escocesa ha sido objeto de múltiples arreglos. Tal vez el más celebrado haya sido el de Joseph Haydn y, con respecto a la música popular, el de Arthur Pryor, de 1897, para trombón y orquesta.

His bonnets of the saxon green his waistcoats of plaid
